Drivers for Change

HeatSource is on a mission to support the decarbonisation of Scotland’s built environment, including the creation of our new online information hub aimed at helping industry maximise the opportunities around new zero carbon heating.

The Scottish Government published its Heat in Buildings Strategy, setting out a number of targets for the buildings sector to achieve, which contribute to the 2045 climate change commitments. Among the priorities is the widespread deployment of zero emissions heating systems, of which only 11% (around 278,000) homes in Scotland currently use.

HeatSource aims to review the sector’s current position to help identify both the knowledge gaps and the key opportunities for businesses to help deliver low carbon heating solutions across Scotland.

Built Environment – Smarter Transformation are working closely with Highlands and Islands Enterprise, South of Scotland Enterprise, skills agencies, Local Authorities and trade bodies to gather knowledge and signpost to relevant avenues for further guidance or funding.

HeatSource is your source of information, inspiration and connections.
