Introduction to Heat Network Delivery Models (Edinburgh)

A workshop hosted by the HNSU and led by Scottish Futures Trust, to inform organisations of various delivery models/commercial structures which facilitate heat network development.

This workshop would be informative for local authorities and other public sector organisations (but not exclusively), especially senior officers (directors and heads of service) with responsibility for finance, procurement, legal, economic development and heat network project delivery. 

The workshop will include:

  • Drivers: Policy and legislation – Why should local authorities and other public bodies act now?

  • Heat network project development and the role of public sector bodies.

  • Selecting a heat network delivery model to suit your organisation and project objectives.

  • Case study presentation from an organisation which has successfully delivered heat networks in Scotland.

  • An opportunity to meet and discuss potential projects and any barriers to implementation with peers, government and technical advisors.
