Introduction to Heat Network Project Development (Edinburgh)

A workshop hosted by the Heat Network Support Unit (HNSU) and led by Zero Waste Scotland, to inform organisations of the available support and funding for heat network development.

This workshop would be informative for local authorities and other public sector organisations (but not exclusively), especially LHEES teams, energy officers, senior officers with estates and sustainability / climate change responsibilities.

The workshop will include:

  • Introduction to the Heat Network Support Unit.

  • Overview of the legislative scene.

  • Technical presentation – What is a heat network?

  • Presentations from case study organisations who have previously received funding through the scheme.

  • An opportunity to meet and discuss potential projects and any barriers to implementation with peers, government and technical advisors.
