The Scottish Government’s Heat Networks Delivery Plan has taken the first steps to identify potential heat network zones across Scotland.

The publication of the Scottish Government’s Heat Networks Delivery Plan is a crucial step towards how the ambitious national targets of 2.6TWh of output by 2027, and 6TWh by 2030, will be achieved.

This is part of a wider package of support and for delivering heat networks in Scotland, including the First National Assessment Report of Potential Heat Network Zones (FNA) which was published on 13 April.  It has taken the first steps to identify potential heat network zones across Scotland.  The maps and data files are available on request by contacting heatnetworks@gov.scot

Further to this there is capital support available through the Heat Network Fund to support the deployment of heat networks that can deliver emissions reductions and support social and economic benefits for communities in Scotland.
